The Mega Cargo Show Mumbai (17-18 March) is an immediate opportunity for any member whose import/export logistics costs have been a pain point – the unified digital cargo clearance platform announced in the Budget makes this year’s edition particularly timely.

April is the highest-density window of the year: members should be actively booking booths now for Medicall Hyderabad (4-6 April), analytica Lab India Mumbai (22-24 April), India Pharma Expo Hyderabad (23-25 April), and Medical Expo India Ahmedabad (24-26 April). analytica Lab India is the single most important platform for lab instrumentation and analytical equipment – premium booth positions are filling; any delay in booking is a strategic loss. Strategic 2026 Calendar

Lock budgets and team capacity now for four anchor events in the second half of the year. CPhI India + PMEC India (23-26 November, Delhi NCR) is the single largest global pharma gathering on the 2026 calendar – for lab-analytical and pharma machinery members, this is the non-negotiable year-end commitment. analytica Lab India Hyderabad (10-12 September) and Medical Fair India Mumbai (17-19 September) create a back-to-back South and West India window in the same fortnight that deserves a co-ordinated attendance strategy.   • SCOMET classification before export: Before shipping any high-value analytical instruments, electron microscopes, clean-room equipment, or additive manufacturing tools, verify classification against the updated 2025-26 SCOMET list – new quantum tech, advanced computing, and additive manufacturing categories were added. An export without a required DGFT licence will be held at customs. Check at www.dgft.gov.in.
  • GFR Amendment – go to your institutional buyers now: Scientific ministries and R&D departments can now purchase up to Rs.2 lakh directly without quotations, and up to Rs.1 crore via Limited/Advertised Tender. Shorten your sales cycle by calling on DST, ICMR, DRDO, ICAR, and DBT purchase officers with compact, GFR-compliant product catalogues this month.
  • CDSCO reclassification and EMI/EMC testing: If any product in your portfolio touches the 553 reclassified cardiovascular or neurological devices, or if you market any AI-assisted diagnostic software, identify your new risk class (A/B/C/D) and book EMI/EMC and biocompatibility testing with a NABL-accredited lab immediately – compliance windows are not open-ended.
  • Update MRPs for the 5% GST rate: The GST reduction to 5% on medical devices has been in force since September 2025.
